Thank you all for a wonderful first month (and almost second!?) of sharing space together…
And what a beautiful time it has been! Many bodies moving together, many chais enjoyed. Thanks for being a part of it. We’ve got lots of exciting things coming - plenty of classes, some events, and even trainings! It is such a gift to nurture this community with and for you.
NEW CLASSES - evening classes are here!
We’ve finally found the perfect home for our evening classes, and we think you’re going to love it too! Starting from this week you’ll be able to find SHARED space @ Green Monday Studios in Carlton every Monday. We’ve got 2 classes for you;
6:00pm 75-MIN Vinyasa
7:30pm 75-MIN Yin
The same longer classes, extra adjustments and chai - just housed in a new space for the evenings.
Find us every Monday at 73 Grattan Street, Carlton.
REMEMBER - as a nomadic studio that moves between spaces, it’s important to check the location of your class (it’s in your booking email)

COCOON001 (our first event, last month) was a beautiful coming together for the seasonal change into rest, the soothing sounds of B.C SLUMBER were just angelic. It was really something special. The next SHARED space event is of a slightly different tone. Introducing…

A 2-hour vinyasa practice in the beautiful St Peters Eastern Hill Hall. Consider this the counter part to COCOON001; the yang approach to shedding your leaves, shifting stagnant energy and preparing for winters big rest. We’re gonna let it all out, together. It’s gonna be a good time.
Followed by snacks, chai & chats. All housed in a beautiful chapel. We can’t wait to move BIG together.

NOTES FROM OUR SATSANG सत्संग
We’ve really been enjoying these early morning SATSANG’s, and coming together with you to discuss yoga and consider how we can integrate more of the yoga system into our daily lives.
In a recent SATSANG we discussed the second NIYAMA (inner observances) Santosha - contentment. Inspired by this Thich Naht Hanh dharma talk, we as a group decided on 3 mindful markers, moments throughout the day we can use to help remind us to settle back into presence;
When brushing your teeth.
When putting on your shoes.
When taking off your socks.
So far it has been a fun and rewarding practice for us, we thought we’d share it so you might incorporate them into your week as well.

Another thing we thought we’d share. On two separate mornings, the Wim Wenders film Perfect Days has been brought up in conversation in relation to presence, contentment and a deep appreciation of life’s simple beauty.
Hope and I had the pleasure of seeing this film during MIFF last year, and we both had it as our favourite pick from the festival. It’s currently screening at select cinemas across town, we wanted to pass on the recommendation - it’s definitely SHARED space approved.
Our free SATSANG’s are held every SUNDAY morning @ 7:30am before the 90-minute Vinyasa starts at 8:30am.
ATTN: TEACHERS! - Incoming Teacher Training
We are so excited to share that we are in the process of fine tuning an Advanced Teacher Training - FORM AND FLOW. This will have three components; Hands on Adjustments, Sequencing and Incorporating Spirituality. You can choose to do one, two, or all three.
Further details to come - Register for early bird access by sending us an email to [email protected], this will be an opportunity with limited numbers as we will be providing in-depth mentorship alongside the teachings.
